Hi everyone,

This week we're covering the basics of how footage gets linked to fixtures in the National Video Exchange and outlining the ways to do it depending on your setup.

There are three methods

Spiideo Cameras

If you're recording with Spiideo at your venue, footage is available live in the exchange. No manual step upload is required after scheduling.

Don’t forget to install your Spiideo Camera. This should be done at least 2 weeks before your first home game. Book time with our installation manager ASAP here.

Record/Schedule via Spiideo Cameras

RTMP Ingestion

For teams streaming a non-Spiideo camera feed into the exchange, RTMP lets you push video in real time using a stream key (Hudl, Veo, broadcast feed, etc). Most modern camera systems support this.

Scene Setup + Record via RTMP Ingestion

Manual Upload

If you're capturing video outside of Spiideo cameras and manually uploading after the game, you’ll be using the manual upload option within the exchange, which takes your file and uploads it directly to the fixture post-game.

Manual Upload to the Competition

For a step-by-step walkthrough of each method — including how to schedule a recording, upload a file, or connect an RTMP stream — check out the Competitions in Spiideo Perform section of our help center.

If you're unsure which method applies to your venue, connect with your Customer Success Manager directly.

Haven’t filled out your roster yet? Submit your roster to Spiideo here to get your team and player profile loaded into the exchange!

The next topics covered will be the scheduling process and accessing the live exchange.

Best,
Derek Schell
